Built by people who did the work

The people behind KAPPS spent years doing AEC and infrastructure work by hand. All of that experience is built into the tools, so they fit the way the work really gets done. This is not a generic SaaS product with an industry label stuck on it.

Virginia based, workflow aligned

We are based in Richmond, Virginia, and we know the agencies you answer to. Our tools and models follow the VDOT, FEMA, VA DEQ, and FHWA workflows you work in every day, so what comes out is what a reviewer expects to see.

Defensible AI, secure data

We use AI to pull out and check facts, never to make things up. Every flag points straight back to the page it came from. Your files are processed in their own private workspace and deleted when you download the results, or within 24 hours regardless. Passwords are hashed with Argon2, and we never store payment cards.

Questions teams ask before they start.

Where is my data stored, and for how long?

In the United States, on Amazon Web Services in Northern Virginia (us-east-1). Uploaded job files and results are deleted when you download the result, and within 24 hours regardless. Geotech Studio files are private to your session and deleted as soon as you download the bundle.

Do the results need a PE's review?

Yes. KAPPS is a software company, not an engineering firm. Results are advisory, for internal screening and drafting, and anything used in regulated work must be reviewed and sealed by a licensed Professional Engineer. See section 4 of our Terms.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Heavy work, such as HEC-RAS runs and terrain processing, happens on our servers, so there is no software to install or license.

What does it cost?

USDA HSG, C-Calculator and Time of Concentration are free with an account. The other tools are a monthly subscription per tool, and Design-Build Studio audits are paid per run. You see the price before you pay, and payment is handled by Stripe.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancel any tool from your profile and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
